The Cottage at The Busted Grouse is ideal for anyone looking to enjoy an Up North retreat reminiscient of the family cottage they may have grown up with. Located in the heart of the Au Sable River's Holy Water section, we've gone to great lengths to hold true to the mid-century character of the cottage while making modern upgrades of all mechanicals and even a Wolf range. All of the rooms are spacious, allowing for plenty of room to gather or find a secluded spot to relax. Every space in this cottage was designed for getting together. The living room, dining room and sunroom are all spacious and have plenty of room for everyone. Touches like the reach through windows from the kitchen, pocket french doors into the sunroom and wood detail in the celiing of the living room speak to the large investement the original owner made when designing and building the cottage. We've worked hard to decorate and furnish the cottage to ensure comfort and a true cottage feel. Guests will be renting this entire cottage. There is a separate landing to the river out front. Guests will not have use of the adjacent garage or adjacent chalet cabin that's also on site. That can be rented separately. We'd love to offer any insight we can to ensure you have a terrific stay. Contact us if you anything all. This is in the heart of the fly fishing community on The Au Sable River. It's also perfect for paddling or just soaking on the cool, flowing waters. A short stroll across the bridge takes you to Gates Au Sable Lodge where they offer a full service fly shop and exceptional riverside restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Be sure to make dinner reservations well in advance of your stay as they book up early. Easy access to Grayling provides for shopping and additional dining options. 1,000's of acres of public land in the area offer endless recreational opportunities. There's ample parking for multiple cars and even a trailer or two if you're bringing canoes, kayaks or fishing boats. Please do not block the driveway so that guests can pull through and exit out the other side. We do have another Cabin at the east side of the property that has their own parking but may wish to pull through to exit. We own two cottages this property. They each have their own amenities including their sitting at the river. We've also located the grills, fire rings and picnic tables to ensure each renter has their own private experience.
